Introduction: The impacts of a changing climate have intensified the need for water conservation in the arid West. While water conservation strategies may vary by climate zone, the core principles of successful conservation programs remain consistent. This presentation highlights proven best management practices and outreach approaches implemented by Sacramento Suburban Water District to advance water conservation. It will also cover the foundational practices that every water conservation and efficiency program should incorporate to help make conservation an American way of life.
Our Presenter: Greg Bundesen, is serving as the Conservation and Communications Supervisor for Sacramento Suburban Water District, a role he has held since 2011. He began his career in the water industry as a teenager and has since worked with North Marin Water District in Novato, California, and American Water in Sacramento. Greg is also an Air Force veteran who served in Okinawa, Japan. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics along with several water industry certifications. Outside of work, Greg is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys exploring new places with family and friends.
