Introduction: Warm-season grasses that can tolerate cool-season climates offer significant potential for water savings. Hybrid bermudagrass is one such option, providing excellent turf quality while using less irrigation water, making it a promising choice for Utah landscapes. In this webinar, our speaker will discuss hybrid bermudagrass, its suitability for Utah, and how it can be successfully established in residential and commercial landscapes. The presentation will also cover its advantages and challenges, along with best practices for installation and long-term management.

Our Presenter: Dr. Bryan G. Hopkins is a Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPSS) specializing in turfgrass science and management. He is a Professor, teaching and conducting research at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. He consults with a wide variety of sports teams, golf courses, and other organizations and is internationally renowned, as evidenced by the honor of being among the <1% of scientists selected as a Fellow in the Soil Science Society of America and the American Society of Agronomy.
