Weber Basin Landscape Initiative

Lawns require more water than any other landscape type for our climate. Weber Basin Water is offering a landscape incentive program. This program is intended to reduce outdoor water by removing lawn while still creating beautiful landscapes that bring value and enjoyment to our communities. 

All properties in the District now qualify! 

Financial incentive of $1.25-$2.50 sq/ft to replace existing lawn with attractive, water‑wise landscaping. Perennial plant material (trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, flowering perennials) is required to be installed back into the area to cover at least 35% of the area   where grass is removed, this other plant material should be watered by drip rather than overhead spray irrigation.
