Event Details
The UNLA Industry Awards Program seeks to honor and highlight green industry individuals and companies who have made significant contributions to their fields. We would like to recognize their accomplishments and outstanding work.
Award winners will be notified by the UNLA in December 2023. All award winners will be recognized at our awards reception to be held at a banquet on January 22 during the 2024 Utah Green Conference, as well as in the March 2024 Trunkline magazine, and promoted through the UNLA website, and social media.
NOMINATION AWARD CATEGORIES:
Distinguished Contribution Award
The purpose of the UNLA’s Distinguished Contribution Award is to recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions to the nursery and landscape industries. Any UNLA member who has significantly contributed to any aspect of the Utah Green Industry is eligible.
Public Service Award (Municipalities, Water Districts, and Educators)
The purpose of the UNLA’s Public Service Award is to honor a career public servant who has made significant contributions by implementing or enacting policies that promote professional development, innovation, and best practices for their organization.
Women in the Green Industry Award
The purpose of the UNLA Women in the Green Industry Award is to recognize a woman who has made significant and impactful contributions and/or who has demonstrated achievement, growth, and success in the Utah green industry.
LANDSCAPE AWARD NOMINATION CATEGORIES
Eligibility Requirements: The landscape awards are open to UNLA members only. UNLA members may submit projects that are completed in Utah.
Commercial Landscape Installation Excellence Award
This award recognizes companies for their accomplishments and outstanding work on commercial landscape installation. Project criteria include but are not limited to aesthetics, functionality, owner/client satisfaction, innovative solutions to installation or related to aiding long-term maintenance, etc. May include any or all of the following features: plantings, hardscapes, structures, water features, and lighting.
Residential Landscape Installation Excellence Award
This award recognizes companies for their accomplishments and outstanding work on residential landscape installation. Project criteria include but are not limited to aesthetics, functionality, owner/client satisfaction, innovative solutions to installation or related to aiding long-term maintenance, etc. May include any or all of the following features: plantings, hardscapes, structures, water features, and lighting.
Landscape Management and maintenance (Residential or Commercial)
Must include one project where the plants under consideration have been cared for by the entrant for a period of 12 months or more. No plans are necessary in this category, however, images showing seasonal progression and maintenance details are highly recommended. Indicate in your written description whether your maintenance project includes lawn care.
